26.2 miles.

Tuesday after my 10 mile run I went and played basketball for 2 hours. Turns out I over did it. It was the first time I had played basketball in probably 6 months or so. My legs were so sore the next day, and then on Thursday they were really sore, then Friday they were still sore but much better. It hurt to walk, and I didn't want to risk anything, so I took those days off.

Today I was planning on running 25 miles. On August 4th I started running again after taking July off to study for the MCAT. That first run I had planned on doing 6 miles, and I ended up walking the last 2 miles. I couldn't even run 6 miles and I was really worried for TOU. Today I thought I would do 26.2 just to give myself the confidence that I will be ok in 2 weeks. I can't explain how relieved I am that I was able to do todays run. My pace was about 18 seconds slower a mile than last Saturdays run (22 miles), but I think the route was more hilly for miles 6-12, and my legs were still sore from Tuesday.

My total time was 3:20:48 including 4 drink breaks of about 15-30 seconds each. Average pace was 7:40. It was about 40 degrees when I left, and around 45 when I finished, it felt great.
